Deviations are permissible if the same level of safety is ensured in another way.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Loading bridges<\/strong> are stationary or movable devices used to compensate for height differences and to bridge gaps between loading ramps or similar loading areas and the loading surfaces of vehicles. Loading bridges can be manually operated or power-driven.<\/li><li><strong>Loading platforms<\/strong> are movable devices intended for pedestrian traffic and the transport of manually operated or hand-guided equipment between loading surfaces and vehicle standing areas.<\/li><li><strong>Loading rails<\/strong> are movable devices used in pairs, intended for the transport of power-driven vehicles between loading surfaces and vehicle standing areas.<\/li><li><strong>Mobile ramps<\/strong> are movable devices that allow industrial trucks and other vehicles to drive onto and off of vehicle loading surfaces from the ground.<\/li><\/ul><p>The following information must be clearly visible and permanently attached to loading bridges and mobile ramps:<\/p><ul><li>Manufacturer or supplier<\/li><li>Year of manufacture<\/li><li>Type<\/li><li>Load capacity<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Use of Loading Bridges:<\/strong><\/p><p>Fixed loading bridges that are permanently connected to a building, as well as mobile ramps or movable loading bridges, must be inspected by a qualified person (competent person) for their safe condition before first use and as needed, but at least once a year.<\/p><h2><strong>Safety and Efficiency in Loading Bridges: A Must in Logistics<\/strong><\/h2><p>For employees working on loading bridges, it is crucial to operate in a safe working environment.
